Jenrick brands Tory leadership rival Badenoch ‘disrespectful’
Conservative Party leadership candidate Robert Jenrick ahead of a speech at Old Queen Street Cafe, central London, outlining his plan to lower taxes, cut regulation and grow the economy, October 16, 2024

TORY leadership hopeful Robert Jenrick has accused his rival Kemi Badenoch has been “disrespectful” to party members by failing to set out her policies.

He made the claim despite having signed up to the yellow card penalty system intended to stop “blue-on-blue” infighting at the start of the contest to replace Rishi Sunak.

Mr Jenrick insisted that all Conservatives wanting to stand as candidates at the next election would have to pledge to support Britain’s withdrawal from the European Court of Human Rights (EHCR) if he became party leader.
