Ireland hammered by Bangladesh in first ODI
IRELAND Women lost by 154 runs to Bangladesh in the first one-day international in Mirpur.
After winning the toss and opting to bat, the home side amassed 252 for four from their 50 overs.
Sharmin Akhter fell four runs short of a century while opener Fargana Hoque scored 61 as Bangladesh posted a strong total.
Ireland never came close in their reply, losing wickets regularly, including two in successive balls to Marufa Akter in the third over that set the tone.
