India suffer first home whitewash as New Zealand complete victory in Mumbai

INDIA slumped to a 3-0 Test series defeat to New Zealand after being bowled out for 121 in Mumbai.

Chasing just 147 for victory after restricting New Zealand to 174 in their second innings, India were reduced to 29 for five before succumbing to their first whitewash home defeat in a three-Test series.

New Zealand left-arm spinner Ajaz Patel tore through India’s top order, taking six for 57 and had it not been for wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant’s 64, India’s embarrassment would have been far worse.
