ELON MUSK'S tweets are reportedly being probed by the government’s counter-terrorism unit amid growing fears over the risk of far-right violence returning to Britain.

The tech billionaire’s social media accounts are among those with large followings under increased monitoring by the unit, which sits within the Home Office’s Homeland Security Group, according to the Mirror.

Mr Musk, a key aide to US President-elect Donald Trump, has attacked the government in recent weeks after insulting Safeguarding Minister Jess Phillips for rejecting a request for a national inquiry into grooming gangs in Oldham, saying it should be led by the council.
