A NEW diplomatic crisis erupted between Poland and Israel today following comments made by the Israeli ambassador to the country regarding a Polish aid worker killed by the Israeli military in Gaza.

Damian Sobol, a 35-year-old Polish man, was among seven people killed while delivering food to besieged Palestinians with the charity World Central Kitchen on Monday.

Israel claims the killing was a “mistake” that followed a misidentification, despite the fact that the charity's vehicles were clearly marked.
