AT LEAST 11 students and parents have been killed at a school in eastern China after a school bus crashed, injuring 13 others.

Dongping County police said that the five students and six parents killed were at the gate of a middle school in Tai’an City in the province of Shandong just before 7.30am on Tuesday.

The driver was taken into police custody and the incident was under investigation.
