Campaigners call for solidarity with the Iranian people after last week's low turnout elections
CAMPAIGNERS yesterday called for solidarity with the people of Iran after last week’s Iranian elections.
As results begin to emerge from the election unofficial reports put the turnout at 41 per cent, the lowest since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Regime-backed candidates appear to be leading in early results.
