SUPPORTERS of fascist Tommy Robinson were vastly outnumbered by opponents when they marched in Leeds on Saturday.

Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – is currently serving a prison sentence in Belmarsh for defying a court order.

He broadcast material which could have wrecked a criminal trial against men accused of child grooming.

Around 50 Robinson supporters were outnumbered by 250 counter-protesters in Leeds on Saturday.

Sam Kirk of Stand Up to Racism said: “The Robinson supporters shouted racist chants about Muslims and called people they identified as not white ‘paedos.’”

She said counter-protesters responded with chants of “From the Pennines to the sea, Yorkshire will be fascist free,” and “Refugees welcome here.”

“Again we celebrate a decline in numbers in support of Tommy Robinson compared to the last time they came,” she said.

English Defence League founder Robinson committed his contempt of court outside Leeds Crown Court and was jailed in July.
