ANTI-RACISM activists are set to mobilise in London on Saturday in defiance against far-right thug Tommy Robinson.
The founder of the far-right English Defence League, real name Stephen Laxley-Lennon, has called on his fascist supporters to “take over” central London this weekend.
Mr Robinson rounded up a motley crew of around 5,000 at his last mobilisation in June.
They chanted Islamophobic slogans amid a high police presence and a counter-demonstration by Stand Up to Racism.
STUR are mobilising again on Saturday and are set to be joined by Jeremy Corbyn MP, BLM Merseyside activist Chantelle Lunt, and Ben Jamal from Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
Stand up to Racism co-convener Sabby Dhalu said: “Robinson is echoing the racism and Islamophobia peddled by Farage and the Tory right.
“Our movement must unite and mobilise in our thousands against this threat.
“We must take a stand against those that incite violence, hatred, Islamophobia, anti-semitism and racism.”
The demonstration will gather in Russell Square at noon.
