Climate activists from Shut The System target insurance companies nationwide demanding end to fossil fuel projects

CLIMATE activists shattered windows, glued doors shut and spray-painted messages at 11 insurance offices across Britain today as they demanded an end to the companies’ involvement in fossil fuel projects.
Newly formed activist group Shut the System (STS) claimed responsibility for the actions in London, Bristol, Rugby, Leeds and Bridgend.
Companies targeted included the world’s fifth-largest insurer Chubb, Lloyd’s of London, Travelers, Hiscox, Tokio Marine, QBE and Markel.
