GOVERNMENT policy is leading to increased numbers of homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual and transexual (LGBT) people, trade union activists at the TUC LGBT conference said yesterday.
According to research institute NatCen, LGBT people are among minority groups who have found themselves disproportionately affected by Con-Dem cuts to jobs and public services.
“Austerity cuts have lead to increasing demand on tailored services for LGBT users exactly at the time they are being cut,” said Unison delegate Anu Prashar.
