ZACK POLANSKI has refused to apologise to Reform chief Nigel Farage amid a confected row over a social media image shared by the Green Party leader.
Mr Polanski said he had made an “inadvertent mistake” in promoting the picture of a man in a T-shirt with a message implying Mr Farage should face the guillotine, and had speedily reversed his acceptance of it.
Reform UK has nevertheless accused Mr Polanski of “inciting murder” and referred the issue to the police.
Mr Polanski said the police had not been in contact with him, adding that he “didn’t pay enough attention to the T-shirt” and was “horrified” by its “dangerous message.”
He said he would not apologise to Mr Farage, adding: “If I’d done it deliberately, I’d be apologising.”
However, concern is growing among the Greens over Mr Polanski’s handling of social media, which has caused several embarrassments lately.
