MEN’S ICE HOCKEY: Dundee’s Chris McKay has been fined and suspended for three games after striking an opponent on the head with his stick in their recent game with Coventry.

He was suspended for the same offence just three weeks ago.

MEN’S FOOTBALL: While the League Cup semi final between Liverpool and Fulham will gather most of the headlines the EFL Trophy’s round of sixteen continues tomorrow evening with cup holders and two-time winners Bolton at Accrington Stanley, 2014’s champions Peterborough hosting Crawley and Burton making the trip to two-time winners Blackpool.

The round will not be completed until Doncaster take on Wigan next Tuesday.

NETBALL: Eight players with Super League experience are in the Welsh squad that takes on Uganda in the first leg of their three match test series at Cardiff’s House of Sport on Wednesday.

Team Bath’s Bethan Dyke will captain the Welsh, who currently sit ninth in the world rankings, two places below Uganda.

Last year’s Super League top points scorer Mary Cholhok and Surrey’s Haniisha Muhameed are both in the Ugandan squad.

MEN’S BASKETBALL: Manchester Giants continue their BBL Trophy campaign in the “group of death” on Wednesday evening when they travel to the Morningside Arena to take on Leicester.

The Giants were soundly thumped 92-78 by Newcastle in their first game whilst Leicester slipped to an 89-74 defeat in London.

Trophy holders Caledonia will be looking to recover from their shock loss to Plymouth when they visit Sheffield on Thursday.
